What kind of nature do you find to be most inspirational, healing and therapeutic? The sea? Mountains? Woods?
My outdoor sessions were featured in a Woman & Home article which you can read HERE or by clicking the image.
Outdoor therapy sessions in Westport might be simply sitting outside so we talk and benefit from the surrounding natural beauty of the sea, mountains, woods and so on.
Sometimes, being outside – especially in this part of the world – can feel so much more therapeutic than being inside.
Walking (nothing too strenuous – along the Quay, parts of the Greenway, the woods or through town) can be especially helpful if you enjoy walking. The movement can help when feeling stuck. It’s also a wonderful way to deal with stress and anxiety.
Outdoor trauma therapy can be very beneficial but again, isn’t for everyone. We can discuss your needs when we speak.
If you’re seeking more purpose, meaning and joy, outdoor self care coaching, nature can be incredibly inspiring and motivating.
Outdoor therapy in Westport (sometimes called nature-based therapy or wild therapy) can be wonderful but isn’t right for everyone or all issues.
And stunning as this part of the world is, not everyone likes the frequent rain as much as I do. We can put contingency plans in place when we talk.
Sometimes, the initial session, where I take a fairly detailed history to help me assess the best way to work with you, is online. If it’s an outdoor therapy session, I’ll still ask questions but not take notes during the session.
We can talk about the logistics of having one, some or several outdoor therapy or outdoor supervision sessions in Westport during this initial session.
If you’re on holiday here or live locally but feel Single Session Therapy or a Breakthrough Coaching Session is for you, these can be done outside but, again, we’ll talk beforehand to check it feels appropriate for you and the issue you want support with.
