How might you send extra love to THESE parts of yourself this week?

Life is pretty unsteady for much of the world at the moment!

But the more WE ground and attend to our base chakra, the better we can stand steady and strong and not only help our own sanity and equilibrium but offer support to others.

We can’t lend others money or donate to good causes when we can’t pay our own bills.

Everything takes longer and is more exhausting when we forget or get too busy to attend to our base or root chakra.

If there is too much going on with the base, we might be overly concerned with security and safety (as opposed to feeling endlessly unsafe and insecure). We might struggle to let go.

It’s all about balance.

A tree grows taller and stronger when it has deep roots. We can jump higher (hypothetically – my knees are still on the mend) when we go lower, first, bending at the knees to gain power and height.

Sorting out the BASICS of grounding, physically (including simple things like peeling potatoes, gardening, making soups, clearing clutter and getting organised) will help ease EVERYTHING along the entire Love your WHOLE self 2024 chakra journey.

This week

Simply NOTICE what comes up for you as you reflect on your own base chakra. What might it need from you right now?

What might help you feel more grounded?

I’m itching to get back into the sea (it’s been over a week now) even for a few moments.

There’s something about the cold Atlantic water that gets me completely out of me ruminating mind and very present in my body.

I’ll also be doing more grounding yoga poses (especially as my knees continue to heal) AND practicing finning (have joined a sub aqua club as a snorkelling member and still feel like a frog on acid in the fins but my knees are OK enough to have graduated from pool fins to proper fins the other day and this focus on my feet and learning to move through the water (and life!) with greater ease and grace and efficiency feels very congruent with the base chakra focus!

I’m also looking forward to (YES! This is what 48 looks like!!!) cleaning, tidying and organising my house. Am still experimenting with different rhythms and routines that feel grounding and nourishing rather than

It might be as simple as wearing more red (the colour traditionally associated with the base chakra) to help you anchor your intention to ground and truly connect with the earth’s nourishing energy.
