Give your Self a break. That Highest, Wisest, Truest most Miraculous, Wildest part of yourself needs nourishment. As Cheryl Strayed’s mother used to say (inspiring her journey in Wild), ‘Put yourself in the way of beauty.’
What might that be?
For me, the sea always hits the spot. The sea in the video here somersaulted me twice as it was sooo choppy. So magical to be reminded of the benefits of diving INTO the turbulence instead of trying to avoid.
What helps you stop in your tracks and connect with the AWE of being alive on this planet in this time?
Maybe it’s nature?
Maybe the spectacular sea?
Wondrous woods?
Majestic mountains?
Delightful deserts?
Maybe it’s fashion! Or art! Music or science…
What stops you in your tracks and reminds you that there’s SO much more to you than whatever you’re dealing with?
How might you prioritise the landscapes and art that inspires you and nourishes you? It may be planning a big trip or giving yourself an hour to indulge or something in between.
